Después de unas cortitas vacaciones, hemos retomado nuevamente nuestros entrenidos sorteos. Esta semana es tiempo de conocer a una destacadísima y muy simpática miembro del equipo. Su nombre Claudia Dominguez, su tienda: Deepindigo.
After a very short break we are back with our super fun section: The Giveaways. This week is time to meet an incredible and nice member of our team. Her name: Claudia Dominguez, her store: Deepindigo.
Hola, mi nombre es Claudia Dominguez Vargas, soy originaria de México y desde hace casi 10 años vivo en Holanda.
Estudié Arquitectura y Diseño de Modas en México y desde siempre me ha atraído el crear, desde dibujos hasta prendas, con probaditas de una y otra cosa de vez en cuando.
Could you tell us a little about yourself?
Hello, my name is Claudia Dominguez Vargas and I'm originally from Mexico and for almost 10 years I live in the Netherlands.
I studied architecture and fashion design. I've always been a creative person, from ilustrations to garments and from time to time with little bites of this and that.
Mi tienda comenzó en el 2006, poco después de que mi hijo León nació. León nació con una condición llamada Hemofilia y con un torcimiento congénito en ambos pies, lo que me llevó a pasar muchas horas en el hospital. Fue entonces cuando comencé a bordar y a tejer, lo que me permitió tener mobilidad y ser creativa al mismo tiempo; mi tienda en Etsy fue el resultado de esos primeros meses.
How did your shop get started?
My shop started in 2006, shortly after my son Leon was born. Leon was born with a condition called Hemophilia and a club feet on both feet, which led me to spend many hours in the hospital. It was then I began to embroider and knit. These allowed me to have mobility and to be creative at the same time, my Etsy store was the result of those first months.
Qué te inspira?
Podría decirse que soy algo tridimensional, me inspiran las texturas. Encuentro sencillamente fascinante el bordar con punto de cruz, la textura que forman esos pequeños cuadritos.
También los colores y la pureza del minimalismo.
What inspires you most of all?
You could say I'm somewhat three-dimensional, textures inspire me. I find cross-stitch embroidery simply fascinating , the texture of those small squares.
Also colors and the purity of minimalism.
Cuál es tu olor favorito?
Me encanta el olor de la primavera, las flores y los arboles.
What is your Favorite smell?
I love the scent of spring, the flowers and the trees.
