Mi nombre es Anabel naci en Mendoza, Argentina pero actualmente vivo en Paris, Francia.
Soy una viajera por naturaleza y considero a la vida como un viaje, por eso en mis creaciones se refleja todo lo que absorbo y mezclo, diseños étnicos pero urbanos, bohemia y chic parisino.
Mi name is Anabel and I was born in Mendoza, Argentina but I’m living in Paris. I’m a natural traveler and I’m consider life as a journey, that’s why my creations are mixtures between everything I absorb: ethnic designs perfectly urban, bohemia and Parisian chic.
El nombre de la tienda / My shop’s name
Mi tienda se llama “Crear es creer” y la verdad es que todo lo que hago parte de esa filosofía. Creo que hay que rescatar raíces como las indígenas a través de recreaciones más actuales. Creo que hay que volver a lo natural, a lo hecho a mano… Y fundamentalmente pienso que si uno realiza algo es porque sale de lo más profundo de su ser, y eso definitivamente es creer. Siempre me pregunte si todos podrían entenderlo, ya que esta en español por eso hice una pequeña introducción en mi pagina donde lo explico… y creo que es la mejor manera, he aprendido tanto ingles… por qué no enseñar un poquito de español?
My shop is called “Crear es creer” that means: to create is to believe in Spanish, and this is my philosophy. I think we have to rescue our Indian roots through more actual recreations. I think we have to come back to natural, to handmade… and fundamentally I think if we make something is because that comes from the deepest part of ourselves and that is to believe. I always ask myself if this was clear enough because it is written in Spanish, that’s why I’ve made an introduction in my shop where I explain it, and I think is the best way.. I’ve learnt lot of English, why not to teach a little Spanish?
Mi formación / Education
Mi formación artesanal (siempre me he considerado una artesana) data del colegio secundario, en una escuela de arte donde hacíamos cerámica, pintura, trabajos en madera y tejidos. Siempre me gustó diseñar y trabajar con las manos. Desde hace tres años lo he tomado mas profesionalmente y me he especializado en tejidos. Realizo trabajos en tejido de punto, crochet, telar y me fascina especialmente el telar aborigen: mapuche, pampa y laboreo andino.
My artisan education (I always considered myself as an artisan) is from high school, a school of art where we made pottery, we painted, and we also did works with wood and fibers. I always loved to design and work with my hands. Since three years I’ve been working in this more professionally and I specialized myself in textiles. I knit, crochet, weave and I’m particularly fascinated by indigenous weaving as mapuche, pampa and laboreo andino.
Materiales /Materials
Para este ano estoy planificando adentrarme un poco en el tema de tintes (sobre todo naturales), pero como es algo que también demanda su tiempo lo voy postergando. También estoy estudiando hacer objetos decorativos y más “artísticos”.
For this year I’m planning to learn a bit more about dying (natural are the most interesting for me), but is very demanding so I was postponing it. I’m also thinking about making deco and more “artistic” objects.

Me gusta mucho trabajar con materiales nobles como la alpaca, la llama y la lana pura de oveja, algodón, lino, seda. Siempre fibras naturales que le dan una calidad diferente a los trabajos.
También utilizo materiales reciclados, por ello algunas de mis creaciones incluyen abalorios que he tomado de collares y bijoux en desuso, que le dan un carácter único e irrepetible y que además hago con muchas ganas porque adoro reciclar!
I love to work with natural materials as alpaca, llama, pure wool, cotton, linen, and silk. These fibers give the works a different quality.
I also use recycled materials that’s why some of my creations include beads I took from broken necklaces and bijou which gives them a unique character and that I use because I love recycling!
Futuro / Future
