*Cuéntanos algo acerca de ti: nombre, de dónde eres, etc./ Tell us something about yourself; your name, where you are from, etc.
Mi nombre es Julieta y vivo en Banfield, un barrio en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Estoy recibida de la carrera de Bellas Artes y me fascina todo lo que tiene que ver con lo estético.
Además amo leer, sobre todo filosofia, porque me ayuda muchisimo para idear la parte conceptual en mis obras.
My name is Julieta and I live in Banfield, a neighborhood in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, I am a graduate from Fine Arts and I am fascinated by everything that has to do with aesthetics. I also love to read, specially philosophy, because it helps me enormously to conceptualize my work.
Mis trabajos actuales parten de mis dos colecciones en venta en Etsy. Por un lado "Coexistencia Derivada" esta inspirada en un libro de Hermann Hesse, en el que trata el tema de la multiplicidad interior. Originariamente esta inspiración fue volcada en una obra llamada " Coexistencia Interior" donde todas las instancias de los muñequitos estaban unidas entre si. Luego, para poder comercializarlo mas facilmente, realizé los muñecos de manera individual.
Por otro lado está mi ultima colección "Let´s Dance" inspirada obviamente en los músicos representados. Pense en darles un cierto tono pop psicodélico y bien pregnante haciendo alusión al impacto de estos personajes en la cultura musical.
My current work derives from the two collections that I sell in Etsy. On one side “Derivative Coexistence”, is inspired in a book by Herman Hesse that deals with the subject of internal multiplicity. Originally this inspiration was realized in a work called “Interior Coexistence”, where all the dolls instances were united between them. Later, to be able to commercialize them I made the dolls individually. On the other side is my latest collection, “Let’s Dance”, obviously inspired by the represented musicians. I thought about giving them a certain pregnant, psychedelic pop, alluding to the impact that these characters had in the musical culture.
*¿Por qué el nombre de tu tienda? / Why your store name?
Bueno, como se darán cuenta, el nombre de mi tienda corresponde al mio. No quise ponerle un nombre que limitase mis creaciones a un estilo o target determinado.
Well, as you might imagine, my store’s name corresponds to mine. I did not want to use a name that could limit my creation to a style or specific target.

Hago obras para presentar en galerias y concursos de arte, es lo que maaas me gusta!
Leo bastante, me encanta la fotografia y diseño en la compu!
I make work to be presented in galleries and art contests, that’s what I really like the best! I read a lot, I love photography and I design in the computer!
Utilizo recursos de Etsy y tambien publico las fotografias de mis trabajos y obras en Flickr y en mi blog.

Uno muuuy ambicioso, vivir de mis trabajos. Obviamente estoy creando una especie de mercado en mi pais para poder recaudar. Asi que tengo muchisimo trabajo que hacer!

One very ambitious project, live off my work!. Obviously I am creating a sort of market in my country so I can benefit from it. So I have plenty to do! Create my dolls, manufacture them, promote them and sell them!

*Hablanos sobre tu trabajo y que te inspira para crearlo. / Tell us about your work and what inspires you.
Actualmente estoy trabajando en el proyecto "Be My Walking Gallery", un cruce entre pintura y joyería. Las piezas son adaptaciones de mis cuadros a accesorios: prendedores, anillos, collares, etc. De esta manera, mi pintura viaja por todos lados, gracias a la ayuda de quienes los usan.
Me gusta la idea de que mis imágenes circulen por el mundo, que cobren vida y se transformen en algo dinámico, cambiante según quién, cómo y dónde las lleve.
I am currently working on the "Be My Walking Gallery" project, which is a cross between painting and jewellery. I adapt my paintings into accessories such as brooches, rings, necklaces, etc. I consider it a way for my paintings to travel everywhere through the people who wear them.
I like the idea of my images seeing the world, taking life and dynamism, ever-changing depending on who, how and where they are worn and taken.
*¿Por qué el nombre de tu tienda? / Why your store name?
El nombre de mi tienda es dos veces mi nombre. En Argentina es un nombre muy raro y nunca necesité apellido para presentarme, siempre use Francine a secas, como si se tratara de un nombre artístico. Esta vez elegí llamarme Francinefrancine, me suena a alguien repitiéndolo en un suspiro, una idea un tanto romántica!
I've named my store through the repetition of my name. In Argentina it is quite an unusual name and I never needed a last name to introduce myself, I've always used Francine on its own, as if it had been a pseudonym. This time I chose to be Francinefrancine, which to me sounds as if someone were repeating it in a sigh, quite a romantic idea, don't you think!?
*Peliculas, musica y libros favoritos. (si es que los hay) / Films, music and favorite books?
Me gusta mucho la fotografía y el cine, algunas de las películas que se me ocurren ahora son "Amélie", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", "La Science des Rêves", "Delicatessen", "Amores Perros" y "El amor, primera parte".
Leo bastante, me gustan la literatura latinoamericana (García Márquez, Cortázar, Benedetti).
Hace poco terminé "Alicia en el país de las Maravillas", fue muy inspirador! Otro género que disfruto mucho son los cuentos policiales de todas las épocas y colores.
En música escucho cosas muy variadas… Algunas de las cantantes que más escucho son Ella Fitzergald, Julieta Venegas, Gwen Stefani y Carla Bruni.
I take a great interest in photography and films, some of the movies I've enjoyed recently are "Amélie", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", "La Science des Rêves", "Delicatessen", "Amores Perros" and "El amor, primera parte".
I read quite a lot, I like Latin American Literature (García Márquez, Cortázar, and Benedetti.)
Not long ago I finished reading "Alice in Wonderland", which I discovered to be highly inspirational! Another genre I very much enjoy are detective novels from all times and ages.
As regards music I listen to a broad spectrum of artists… Some of my favourite are Ella Fitzgerald, Julieta Venegas, Gwen Stefani and Carla Bruni.

Cuando no estoy dedicada a mi Walking Gallery pinto cuadros de gran formato, dibujo y hago bordado. También estoy aprendiendo a cocinar!
When I'm not working on my Walking Gallery I paint big canvases, I draw and embroider. Little by little, I'm also learning to cook!
*¿Cómo promueves tu tienda y tu trabajo? / How do you promote your shop and work?
Pronto estaré inaugurando el sitio web de "Be My Walking Gallery", que todavía está en construcción. Vendo mi trabajo en tiendas de Palermo y San Telmo (los barrios de diseño de Buenos Aires) y a través de Etsy, que es sin duda una ventana al resto del mundo.
I will soon launch the "Be My Walking Gallery" website, which I'm still working on. At the same time I sell my products in San Telmo and Palermo stores (design and fashion districts of Buenos Aires) and through Etsy, which is certainly a fabulous link to the rest of the world.
*¿Qué planes tienes para el 2009? ¿Algún proyecto en especial? / What plans do you have for 2009? Any special project?
Para el 2009 tengo muchas expectativas pero todavía ningún plan concreto. Me encantaría ampliar la línea de productos de Walking Gallery a pañuelos y prendas estampadas y hacer una muestra/desfile de mis piezas. Ya veremos!
I have a great deal of expectations for 2009, yet still no definite plans. I would love to broaden the Walking Gallery product range to include scarves, foulards and printed clothes; then set up a fashion show with my works. We'll see!

"Hola! Soy Becky y actualmente vivo en la ciudad de Lyon en Francia con mi esposo y mi hijo. Soy originaria de Estados Unidos y Mexico y he vivido el mismo número de años en ambos paises. Por tanto soy completamente bicultural y bilingue, algo que aprecio ya que me ha presentado con muchas oportunidades maravillosas en la vida.
Diseño ropa, bolsos y accessorios. Siempre he sido creativa pero empecé a considerarlo mas que un pasatiempo cuando aprendí a tejer en 2000. Diseñe un sueter que fue publicado en un libro, y gracias a eso me dí cuenta que podría diseñar profesionalmente.
Hi! My name is Becky and I currently live in Lyon, France with my husband and my son. I'm originally from both the United States and Mexico, and lived the same number of years in both countries so I'm completely bicultural and bilingual, something for which I'm grateful as it's brought me many wonderful opportunities in life. I design clothing, bags and accessories. I've always loved to create but I started to consider designing as more than a hobby when I learned how to knit in 2000. I designed a sweater that was published in a book and thanks to that I realized that I could design full-time. When I'm not designing and creating things, I'm visiting museums, coffee shops, restaurants and reading.
2. Cómo conociste Etsy? / / How did you hear about Etsy?
Conocí Etsy en 2007, gracias a la bitácora de una amiga. Ella tenia un "Etsy Mini" para su boutique en la columna de navegacion en su bitácora, y visite su boutique a traves de el. Por curiosidad empece a navegar Etsy, y dentro de unos minutitos abri mi propia cuenta para comprar una pulsera!
I discovered Etsy through a friend's weblog. She had an Etsy mini of her shop on the sidebar, and I clicked directly into her shop. Out of simple curiosity I started browsing all of Etsy, and before I knew it I had my own account and had bought some jewelry!
3. Qué podemos encontrar en tu tienda Etsy? En qué te especializas? Cómo es tu proceso creativo? / / What can we find in your Etsy shop? What do you specialize in? Tell us about your creative process
En mi boutique pueden encontrar artículos de ropa, bolsos y tejidos - todos son cosas que me encanta crear. Cuando abrí mi boutique me prometí a mi misma que solo vendería cosas que me encanta crear porque no quiero que diseñar se sienta como una obligación o que sea estresante. En otra vida trabaje como abogado en un despacho muy grande y aunque me gusto mucho esa carrera tuve que soportar todo el estres que facturar 14 horas al dia y viajar constantemente trae como consecuencia. Ahora como hago mi vida diseñando, solo vendo cosas que me encanta crear!
In my shop you can find clothing, bags and knit accessories which are things I love to make. I promised myself that the only things I would sell are those that I love making because I don't want designing to feel like a job. For years I worked as a full-time lawyer in a large firm, and while I enjoyed doing that I had to endure all the stress that comes with billing 14 hours a day and traveling constantly. So now that I make a living designing, I will only create things that I enjoy making!

Mi nombre es María y vivo en Navia, una villa de la costa Asturiana. Tengo 22 años y llevo trabajando como artesana de la joyería 2 años. Estudié Joyería y Gemología en Oviedo y al terminar mis estudios me decidí a montar mi propia empresa. De momento se pueden encontrar mis joyas a través de internet (Flickr, Blog, mi tienda Etsy, mi Dawanda) pero espero poder acudiar a alguna feria próximamente. En un futuro no muy lejano también me gustaría abrir mi propia tienda. Ya desde que era pequeña me gustaban el arte y las manualidades por lo que a la hora de decidir cual quería que fuera mi profesión me decanté por algo artístico. Siempre me había llamado la atención la artesanía, sobre todo enfocada a la joyería, así que finalmente elegí formarme para ello.

I studied Jewelry and Gemmology at Oviedo and when I finished I decided to open my own business. Since I was a child I always liked arts and crafts so when I had to decide my profession I wanted something artistic. Conocí Etsy gracias a mi amiga Anaïs de Fall in Style. Me habló acerca de ello cuando abrió su tienda y me apeteció probar a mí también. Me parece una muy buena plataforma tanto para darse a conocer como para las ventas a través de internet.

Todas las joyas son realizadas una a una por mí de forma totalmente artesanal, desde su diseño hasta su fabricación. Como materia principal empleo la Plata combinándola con texturas, óxidos, piedras naturales, circonitas, perlas, ébano, fieltro... Me gusta probar y experimentar con nuevos materiales así que espero ir incluyendo más a la lista. La resina es algo que me encanta y ya estoy diseñando alguna colección con ella. En mi tienda pueden encontrarse principalmente anillos, pendientes y colgantes pero espero añadir nuevos artículos pronto. Every jewel is handmade by me, since its design to its fabrication.

As main material I use Silver combined with textures, oxidizes, natural gemstones, zirconites, pearls, ebony, felt... I like trying and experimenting with new materials so I hope to include more to the list. Resin is something that I love and I'm designing new colections with it. In my shop you can find rings, earrings and pendants but I'll be adding new items soon.

Elegir sólo una tienda es muy difícil ya que hay grandes artistas en el grupo pero me gustaría señalar a India y la Luna. Una chica encantadora y una gran artista. Me encanta su joyería minimalista.

Me llamo Mercedes, vivo en Madrid y soy química, quizá por eso siempre me ha gustado experimentar.Todo comenzó un día que encontré un libro de jabones en una conocida librería de Madrid, estaba practicamente solo en la estantería (parece típico pero es cierto), y lo compré. Recuerdo que era un viernes y el sábado por la mañana ya estaba buscando ingredientes para hacer mi primer jabón. Me enganchó tanto el tema que desde entonces .... y de eso hace ... ¡¡8 años!! no he podido parar.
Pero fué hace algo más de un año cuando decidí reconvertir mi afición en empresa y así creé Campo di fiore, cuya web es: http://www.campodifiore.es donde vendo jabones y productos para que la gente haga sus propios jabones. Además comparto mis experiencias en un blog que va teniendo bastantes visitas: http://campodifiore.wordpress.com, lo cual es una experiencia realmente gratificante.

Mi name is Mercedes, I live in Madrid and I am chemist, maybe that is the reason because I always have loved to experiment.It all started one day I found a book of soaps in a known library of Madrid, it was virtually alone on the shelf (seems typical but it is true), and what I bought it. I remember that was a Friday and Saturday morning and was looking for ingredients to make my first soap. I hooked both the subject since then .... and this makes ... 8 years! I could not stop.
But it was about a year ago when I decided to convert my hobby in bussines and so I created Campo Di Fiore, whose website is: http://www.campodifiore.es and http://campodifiore.etsy.com where I sell soaps and products for people to make their own soaps. En mi tienda Etsy encontrareis jabones naturales basados en aceite de oliva. El método que utilizo es el de procesado en frío que es el realmente tradicional. Además tengo la gran suerte de vivir en la zona de España conocida como "Castilla", y que parece ser a la que se debe el nombre de la variedad "jabón de castilla", y de conocer mucha gente que me ha ido contando trucos y recetas que han pasado de generación en generación.
Así pues, si tuviera que resumirlo, diría que en mi tienda encontrareis naturaleza, tradición, artesanía y autenticidad en forma de jabón.

In my Etsy shop you find natural soaps based on olive oil. The method I use is the cold processing that is really traditional. In addition I have the great fortune to live in the area of Spain known as "Castile," and that seems to be the origin of the variety name "Castile Soap", and to know so much people who has tell me antiques recipes and tips about soap.
So, if I will have to resume I tell you that in my shop you fin nature, tradition, craft and authenticity in form of soap.

Somos tres hermanas que desde hace seis años estamos trabajando juntas. Las tres tenemos otras profesiones además de este trabajo, Victoria es artista plástica (www.severinlopezseverin.com.ar) y también dirige un taller textil. Soledad es bióloga y yo (Virginia) soy bailarina de danza contemporánea. Muy diverso, no?!
Lamentablemente vivimos en ciudades diferentes también pero de todas formas nos arreglamos para vernos seguido y trabajar a la distancia.
Comenzamos reciclando telas antiguas, hilos y lanas para hacer modelos de nuestra creación: mezclábamos telas con tejido y bordado a mano. Luego nos fuimos definiendo un poco más hasta producir todo tejido: telar, dos agujas y crochet. Nuestra característica es la fusión de las técnicas de tejido así como la mezcla de materiales. Desde niñas nos gustó mucho lo artesanal, aprendimos el arte de las manos gracias a nuestra abuela Adelia, una herencia que amamos y decidimos apoyar para que perpetúe en el tiempo y en nuestra familia.

We are three sisters that for six years have been working together. The three we have other professions besides this work, Victoria is a plastic artist (www.severinlopezseverin.com.ar) and also she directs a textile workshop. Soledad is a biologist and I (virginia) am a ballerina of contemporary dance.
Unfortunately we live in different cities also but anyhow fix up to meet followed and to work to the distance.
We start by recycling ancient fabrics, threads and wools to do models of our creation: we were mixing fabrics with knitting and embroidery to hand. Then we were defining ourselves a bit more up to producing everything woven: loom, two needles and crochet. Our characteristic is the merger of the skills of knitting as well as the mixture of materials. From girls we liked much the handcrafted thing, we learned the art of the hands thanks to our grandmother Adelia, an inheritance that we love and decide to support in order that it continues in the time and in our family.

En mi shop podes encontrar con ruanas, pashminas, chalinas, cuellitos, bufandones, sacos, tapados, sweters, chalecos, boas, boleros… Nos inspira la posibilidad de difundir el trabajo manual y las técnicas antiguas de tejido como telar, dos agujas y crochet. También nos gusta crear diseños originales para que la mujer moderna, pero fáciles de usar al momento de vestir. Accesorios femeninos para que destaquen la belleza de las mujeres de hoy. La creación y la moda siempre estuvieron presentes en nuestra vida desde la infancia. Crecimos en una casa llena de mujeres donde la ropa femenina tenía una gran participación. Además aprendimos muchos tipos de artes: el taller literario, artes plásticas, cerámica, música, baile, tejido a máquina, la costura, etc.) Esto nos permitió desarrollar un espíritu creativo que nos estimuló para empezar este emprendimiento.

Soy medio española (por parte de madre) y nacida en Londres (mi padre era inglés), aunque llevo aquí en España desde los 6 añitos.
Hace 5 años me apunté a un curso de encuadernación, y fue todo un descubrimiento, ya que desde entonces no he parado de hacer libros. Me inspiran los colores vivos y me encanta pintar mis propios papeles que luego uso para encuadernar mis libros.
El bichito creativo siempre lo he tenido pero quizá nunca se me había despertado del todo. De pequeña (y no tan pequeña…) me gustaba mucho dibujar, hacer figuras con plastilina, hacerme mis propias pulseras y collares, coser… Hasta que finalmente probé la encuadernación. Desde entonces mi vena creativa ha despertado y lo alimento cada día. Con la encuadernación puedo introducir todas las cosas que me gustaban de pequeña - hay todo un mundo de diferentes encuadernaciones artisticas!!! -------------------------------------------------
Hi, my name is Susan and I live in Alicante, Spain with my dear husband Jose and my twelve year-old son, Jorge.
Even though I was born in London ( my dad was English), I have been living in Spain since I was 6 years old.
I took a bookbinding course 5 years ago and since then I haven’t stopped making books!! I am inspired by strong, bright colours, and I love painting my own papers which I later use for binding my books.
I have always liked doing different crafts. When I was young ( and not so young…) I liked drawing, playing with plasticine, making bracelets and necklaces, sewing…… Until one fine day I discovered bookbinding. From then on my creative spirit has come alive. With bookbinding I have been able to introduce all the different crafts which I have always enjoyed – There is so many different artistic books!!

Tell us about your creative process En mi tienda hay libros pintados y encuadernados por mi. También hay libros de tela cosidos por mi. O sea, en mi tienda hay libros, libros y mas libros!!!!! (diarios, álbumes de fotos, carpetas….)
El proceso que sigo es el siguiente: Lo primero que hago es elegir los colores con los que voy a pintar mis papeles. Suelo elegir 3 colores – no me gusta recargar demasiado. Luego una vez secos los papeles, los corto y los paso a encuadernar. Me gusta mucho combinar los colores y crear contrastes.

In my Etsy shop you can find books painted and hand bound by me. Also fabric books sewn by me. Basically in my shop you can find mostly books, books and books !!! (journals, photo albums, portfolios, etc…)
I follow the following procedure: First I choose the colours which I am going to use to paint my papers – I usually choose no more than 3 colours. As soon as my papers are dry, I cut them and then I hand bind them. I love combining different colours.

* Cuéntanos sobre ti (dónde vives, qué haces en tus ratos libres, desde cuándo tienes el bichito creativo, etc) / Tell us about yourself (where do you live, what do you do in your spare time, when did you start creating things, etc) Actualmente vivo en Valencia, ciudad donde nací y crecí, aunque he vivido durante temporadas en otros sitios. Tengo 24 años y me dedico a estudiar (muy poquito a poco) filología hispánica, por pura vocación, ya que las palabras son, para mí, la mejor materia prima. Mi pasión es la literatura contemporánea (española e hispanoamericana en concreto, pero me encanta descubrir otras) y la teoría de la literatura.
El “bichito creativo” creo que lo tengo desde que nací. Como decía mi bisabuela, “jo necessite estar sempre fent alguna cosa amb les mans” (“yo necesito estar siempre haciendo algo con las manos”). Desde pequeña me recuerdo haciendo collares con macarrones, moldeando arcilla, jugando con pinturas (a pesar de que dibujar se me da fatal me encanta pintar), y también haciendo algo que parece que no tiene nada que ver con la creación pero que en mi opinión está más que relacionado: cocinar. Mi verdadera debilidad es cocinar repostería, pastelería, panadería… jugar con las masas, las temperaturas, y ver cómo cambian las texturas.
Sin embargo, empecé a hacer bisutería más en serio (dejando de lado ya los macarrones y las típicas cuentas de rocalla que me enloquecían de enana) hace unos cuantos años. Fue una época extraña en mi vida. Me habían pasado unas cuantas cosas bastante importantes y, por unas cosas y por otras, acabé mudándome de ciudad. Acababa de llegar a Madrid y estaba en estado de shock, fue una época algo triste. Además, vivía en una casa donde no había nada de luz del sol. Por eso mismo, salía a dar larguísimos paseos por la ciudad, más que por conocerla a ella por encontrarme a mí misma, que me había perdido con tanto suceso. Un día, en uno de esos paseos, me topé con una tienda de cuentas de las mejores que he visto nunca. Entré y salí con una bolsa cargadísima y una ilusión creciente… A partir de ese día me volví una adicta a las cuentas, sobre todo a las de cristal, y siempre que estaba tan hundida que no me apetecía salir de esa casa oscura donde vivía sacaba mi cajita de cuentas y me ponía a crear, crear y crear. Los colores de esos cristales eran la luz del sol que no tenía. Después empecé a atreverme con camisetas, bolsos, etc. La creación se había convertido en mi mejor terapia y en la mejor forma de endulzar mi vida. Ahora, no concibo dejarla del todo porque me sigue haciendo posible dejar la mente en blanco, pensar en cosas bonitas y expresarme, sobre todo expresarme. Expresar lo bueno pero también lo malo de la vida, dándole color y forma para aliviarlo.

Nowadays, I’m living on Valencia, city where I was born and I grew up, but I’ve been living on different countries. I’m 24 and I study (very slowly) Spanish Philology, because words are my life and I think they are the best raw material ever. My passion is contemporary literature (specially Spanish and Hispano-American, but I love to discover new ones) and theoretical literary studies.
The creative interest is in me since I was born, I guess. As my great-grandmother said, “I need to be always making something with my hands”. I remember myself, since I was a little child, creating macaroni necklaces, working with clay, playing with paints (despite I draw honestly badly, I love painting), and also making something that’s apparently very away from creation, but that I find very close to it: cooking. I have a weakness for bakery, pastrymaking… playing with doughs, temperatures and textures.
However, I started creating jewelry seriously (and leaving macaroni and typical rocaille beads I loved when I was a child) a few years ago. It was a strange period in my life. A few things had just happened to me and I decided to move to Madrid. I had just arrived there and I was truly shocked, it was a sad period. Furthermore, I lived on a very dark house where I had no sunlight. That’s why I used to take long walks through the city, in order not to learn her streets but to find myself, because I had got lost with so many events in my life. One day, walking, I came across with one of the best bead shops I’ve seen in my whole life. I came into the shop and I take a heavy bag full of beads and a new illusion… Since that day, I got a beads-addict, mostly glass ones, and those days I was so down I had no guts to go out in the street, I toke my beads box and I started creating, creating and creating. Those glasses’ colors were the sunlight I hadn’t. Later, I dare to create t-shirts, handbags, etc. Creating had become my best therapy and the best way to put a little sugar in my life. Now, I can’t understand my life without it because it still makes me possible to relax my mind, to think of beautiful things and to express myself. Express the good but also the bad things of life, giving them a color and a form, in order to lighten it.

Tell us about your creative process Principalmente, bisutería de todo tipo, pero me encanta innovar cada día y descubrir nuevos materiales. Ahora mismo estoy preparando una colección de tocados y, de cara al invierno, una de bolsos de fieltro de lana. Lo que sí que está claro es que son artículos, muchos de ellos piezas únicas, que son por un lado mi forma de expresarme y que desean convertirse en una forma de expresarse para la gente que las lleva. No se trata de decoración, sino de expresión, de darle forma a nuestros sentimientos y estados de ánimo. Mis creaciones surgen así, libremente, cojo mi caja de materiales y empiezo a hacer sin una idea previa. A partir de ahí voy dejando que mi imaginación diga lo que tiene que decir. Espero que la gente que las lleva también diga algo de lo que tiene que decir simplemente llevándolas. Por eso me gusta tanto hacer encargos personalizados.

For sure, they’re items, many of them one-of-a-kind ones, that are just my way to express myself and they are dwelling for expressing the mood and the feelings of the people wearing them. It’s not decorating, it’s expression, it’s giving a form to our inner life. My creations are born like that, with freedom, I just take my materials box and I start creating with not a plan. By this moment, my imagination is the only one that speaks. I hope, as well, people wearing them to be able to say what they need to say just by wearing my creations. That’s why I love to create custom orders.

Aun así, insisto, hay creadores magníficos y, lo más importante, es un grupo muy ecléctico donde caben disciplinas muy distintas (ilustración, moda, arte funcional… ). Hola, soy Claudia, nací en Madrid hace 32 años y sigo viviendo aqui! Soy ilustradora infantil, y me encanta lo que hago! Cuando terminé la escuela, la ignorancia de la edad y el mercado laboral me llevaron al campo del diseño gráfico, donde ocasionalmente podía ilustrar como complemento al diseño. Pero hace aproximadamente dos años, comencé mi blog Mundogominola, y me obligo a dibujar constantemente.
Desde que era pequeña copiaba dibujos sin parar, tenía muchos libros de colorear y odiaba salirme de la linea! Luego empecé a pintar al óleo, me atraían las texturas y materiales. Pero, sinceramente, comencé a valorar la ilustración como género artístico cuando comenzé en la Escuela de Arte nº10 de Madrid. Me dí cuenta de cuántos recursos tenemos para expresarnos y crear.
Comencé a amar los carteles ilustrados, las tipografías, cada viñeta de un comic.. Enloquecí cuando leí "El día que cambié a mi padre por dos peces de colores" de Neil Gaiman y Dave McKean!! Hasta entonces el arte para mí se había limitado a la Giocconda y el Partenón.

Hello, My name is Claudia, I was born in Madrid (España) 32 years ago and I continue living in Madrid. I am a children´s book illustrator., and I am charmed with my work!When I finished the school, because of the factors as my age, ignorance, the labour marked took me to the field of the web and graphic design. Where, occasionally, i had the opportunity to illustrate as complement of the design. But approximately two years ago I started my blog MundoGominola, and this way I was binding to draw constantly.
Since I was a little girl i’ve been copying drawings. Non-stop. I had many coloring books, and I hated the colour out of the line!Then I started oil painting, I was attracted by the textures and the materials… But sincerely, I started to value the illustration as a genre of art, when I began the Cycle of Illustration of the School of Arts n º 10 of Madrid.There I realized the quantity of resources we had to express and to create. I started to love the illustrated cartels, the typographies, every emblem of a cómic... I started to buy comic and infantile stories. I went crazy with " The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish" of Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean!!! Till then the art for me was limited to the Partenon, the Giocconda and the Guernica.

En mi tienda hay impresiones de alta calidad (ediciones limitadas) de mis ilustraciones, complementos en papel (etiquetas o marcapáginas), y también joyería (broches y proximamente pendientes) con mis ilustraciones, por supuesto!
Todas mis ilustraciones son originales y creadas con cariño. La mayoría son hechas a mano, con acuarelas, tintas y lápiz. Pero en ocasiones también trabajo con técnicas digitales.
Siempre estoy pensando donde puedo aplicar mis ilustraciones para crear nuevos productos.
