Hola a todas, hace tiempo que me queria unir a ustedes y al fin estoy aqui.
Mi nombre es Moira,tengo 35 años y vivo en Santiago de Chile con mi hijo de 13 años y mi pareja y mi gatita pelusa.
Hago principalmente monstruitos, gatos y cojines, aunque tambien quiero empezar a hacer ilustraciones.
Actuamlente vivo en un departamento, ahi es donde trabajo, en los horarios mas locos que se puedan imaginar. A veces despierto temprano inspirada, otras me da el ataque de creatividad por la noche, pero debo reconocer que soy una noctambula, casi siempre en las noches es donde desarrollo mi proceso creativo, dibujo mis monstruos, se me ocurren ideas y me gusta navegar en etsy, flickr y blogs favoritos.tambien coseria feliz a las 2 o 3 de la mañana, pero ahi si que volveria locos a mis vecinos, asi que me aguanto las ganas hasta el dia siguiente.

Actuamlente live in an apartment, where there is work, more hours can be crazy to imagine. Sometimes waking early inspired me further creativity on the attack of the night, but I must admit that I am a noctambulant, almost always at night is where I develop my creative process, drawing my monsters, I have ideas and I like to surf etsy, flickr and blogs favoritos.tambien coseria happy at 2 or 3 in the morning, but there again that if my neighbors crazy, so I want to wait the next day.

Aunque conoci flickr hace unos 3 años, no supe de Etsy hasta el año pasado, en que empece a averiguar y me inscribi. Al principio me complicaba muchicimo el idioma, pero luego de a poco fui perdiendo miedo y metiendome de lleno en este mundo, aunque aun no hago treasurys :),
Otra de las cosas que me encantan de mi trabajo es que puedo trabajar en casa y eso me gusta muchisimo, la libertad de horarios, soy super ciclica y a veces trabajo mucho y otras simplemente no me siento inspirada, entonces no me gusta sentir ningun tipo de presion al respecto.
Tambien me ha encantado conocer otras personas que como yo, realizan sus procesos creativos en distintas partes del mundo, siento por primera vez que encontre a "los mios" y me veo en cada chica que cose , pinta o hace accesorios, eso me gusta muchisimo.
Junto con Etsy, entrego en varias tiendas aca en Chile y hago ventas en mi Depto.
Otro de mis grandes placeres es el chocolate en todas sus formas, aca les dejo una receta para que prueben.
Un abrazo gigante a todas :-)
Although knowledge flickr 3 years ago, I learned of Etsy not until last year, they started to find out and I signed up. At first I muchicimo complicated language, but after a little scared and I was losing metiendome fully in this world, even though I do treasurys:)
Another thing I love about my job is that I can work at home and I like a lot of free time, I'm super cyclic and work hard and other times I just feel inspired, then I do not feel like any kind of pressure in this regard.
I was also delighted to meet other people like me do their creative processes in different parts of the world, I feel for the first time I had to "mine" and I feel that every girl sew, paint or make accessories, I like a lot .
Along with Etsy, delivered in several stores here in Chile and I am selling my Depto.
Another of my great pleasures is the chocolate in all its forms, I give here a recipe to try.

Mi nombre es Julieta y vivo en Banfield, un barrio en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Estoy recibida de la carrera de Bellas Artes y me fascina todo lo que tiene que ver con lo estético.
Además amo leer, sobre todo filosofia, porque me ayuda muchisimo para idear la parte conceptual en mis obras.
My name is Julieta and I live in Banfield, a neighborhood in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, I am a graduate from Fine Arts and I am fascinated by everything that has to do with aesthetics. I also love to read, specially philosophy, because it helps me enormously to conceptualize my work.
Mis trabajos actuales parten de mis dos colecciones en venta en Etsy. Por un lado "Coexistencia Derivada" esta inspirada en un libro de Hermann Hesse, en el que trata el tema de la multiplicidad interior. Originariamente esta inspiración fue volcada en una obra llamada " Coexistencia Interior" donde todas las instancias de los muñequitos estaban unidas entre si. Luego, para poder comercializarlo mas facilmente, realizé los muñecos de manera individual.
Por otro lado está mi ultima colección "Let´s Dance" inspirada obviamente en los músicos representados. Pense en darles un cierto tono pop psicodélico y bien pregnante haciendo alusión al impacto de estos personajes en la cultura musical.
My current work derives from the two collections that I sell in Etsy. On one side “Derivative Coexistence”, is inspired in a book by Herman Hesse that deals with the subject of internal multiplicity. Originally this inspiration was realized in a work called “Interior Coexistence”, where all the dolls instances were united between them. Later, to be able to commercialize them I made the dolls individually. On the other side is my latest collection, “Let’s Dance”, obviously inspired by the represented musicians. I thought about giving them a certain pregnant, psychedelic pop, alluding to the impact that these characters had in the musical culture.
*¿Por qué el nombre de tu tienda? / Why your store name?
Bueno, como se darán cuenta, el nombre de mi tienda corresponde al mio. No quise ponerle un nombre que limitase mis creaciones a un estilo o target determinado.
Well, as you might imagine, my store’s name corresponds to mine. I did not want to use a name that could limit my creation to a style or specific target.

Leo bastante, me encanta la fotografia y diseño en la compu!
I make work to be presented in galleries and art contests, that’s what I really like the best! I read a lot, I love photography and I design in the computer!

Uno muuuy ambicioso, vivir de mis trabajos. Obviamente estoy creando una especie de mercado en mi pais para poder recaudar. Asi que tengo muchisimo trabajo que hacer!

One very ambitious project, live off my work!. Obviously I am creating a sort of market in my country so I can benefit from it. So I have plenty to do! Create my dolls, manufacture them, promote them and sell them!

Los niños de todas las edades necesitan tener un objeto que los conforte que les permita dar cariño y expresar ternura, todos necesitamos dar y recibir abrazos y a quién no le gusta abrazar un muñeco de peluche? Eso es lo que hacemos en Bare Sock Crafts, nos gusta crear y hacer animalitos y muñecos de peluche que se pueden convertir en los mejores amigos y bonitos recuerdos de los más pequeños.
Me llamo Marina Kurczyn-Slauter, soy Mexicana y me encanta trabajar con las manos y crear cosas nuevas, es por eso que estudie Diseño Industrial.
Desde muy chica me llamó la atención hacer manualidades, a los 9 años le pedí a mi mamá me comprara unos adornos navideños de mi elección, fieltro, chaquira, hilos y relleno para copiar esos adornos y hacer más para nuestro arbolito. Al pasar de los años me interese por tejer, tejer con gancho, coser, carpinteria y pintura!
He sido muy afortunada y he podido explorer mi creatividad en diferentes formas y aunque mi experiencia profesional como diseñador Industrial fue corta y mi carrera tomó un giro de 360 grados convirtiendome en Especialista en Comercio Exterior, nunca dejé de hacer muñecos y animalitos de peluche, siempre ha sido mi hobby y manera de relajarme.
Mi vida volvio a girar nuevamente hace seis años cuando me casé con un hombre extraordinario, David que es Americano y por lo tanto me mude a California a empezar otro capitulo en mi vida.
Hace 4 años nacio nuestro hijo Brian y desde entonces soy ‘Ama de Casa’.
Brian es quien me inspira a volver a aventurarme en vender mis craciones en etsy.
Hace algunos meses queria salir a jugar al jardin y sabiendo que no puede salir descalzo pregunto si podia salir Bare Sock porque traia puestos sus calcetines y siendo una frase tan original inventada por el usando lo que ha aprendido de la lengua Inglesa me parecio el nombre ideal para mi nueva aventura mi propia tienda en etsy.

My name is Marina Kurczyn-Slauter, I was born and raised in Mexico City, I love working with my hands and creating new things, that is why I studied product design.
Since I was little I was very interested in crafts and at the age of 9 years, I told my Mom that if she bought some felt, sequence, embroidery floss and stuffing along with some Christmas ornaments of my choosing, I would make more of each for our Christmas tree. As the years went by I got interested in knitting, crochet, sewing, woodwork and painting!
I have been very fortunate and I have been able to explore many aspects of my creativity and although my professional experience as a product designer was short and my career took a 360 degree turn and I became an International Trade Specialist, I never stopped making stuffed animals and Christmas ornaments, it has always been my hobby and best way to relax.
My life took another big turn almost six years ago when I married an amazing man, David who happens to be American…..so I moved to California to start a new chapter in my life.
Four years ago our son, Brian was born and I became a Stay at home Mom.
Brian is the inspiration behind this new adventure I just started with my etsy store. He came up with the phrase Bare Sock one day when he had his socks on and wanted to go out to the garden, knowing that we tell him he can’t go out bare foot, he asked if he could go out ‘Bare Sock’, it is such an original phrase, invented by him using what he has learned so far about the English language, I thought it was the best name for mi new adventure, my etsy store!
